Therapy Dogs for Your Valentine's Day

Hey everyone,

Hope you're having a good Valentine's Day. Valentine's day is a good excuse for a lot of kinds of behavior. Some of it is not-so-great behavior. But I do like that Valentine's is an excuse for puns and candy a la elementary school, and at Lipscomb, therapy dog visits. Therapy dogs are fun to draw because they are (generally) still and deserve some extra attention for the work they do! And the handlers seem to really get a kick out of it. And you can pet them. Can't pet lions. So a friend and I paid a visit to the library for some drawing (and dog-petting).

This is Russell, a Great Pyrenees who displays the wonderful abundance of fur that makes this breed so fun to draw. Not a bad model either! He's currently helping out with the Music City Pet Partners.

I hope you know Christ's love for you today. I love you too (in a brotherly, platonic way)! And if you need someone to talk to hit me up at dannyhaycox@gmail.com.
